Dark Philosophy’s new release ‘The Edge” takes you on a musical journey that explores the many virtues and perils of love and lust.

Dark Philosophy is a NH based progressive rock quartet that features a cello at the core of its sound . They combine pop sensibility and hauntingly unique melodies around honest, personal and introspective lyrics.

Dark Philosophy was formed in the summer of 1998 and their first CD “Silent Winter” was released the following year to critical acclaim.

New cellist, Robert Mirakian brings a more immediate sound to the band that was born out of improvisation. His melodic hooks provide counter balance to the poetry and guitar work of singer/songwriter Phil Celia. The Clevenger electric upright bass guitar exquisitely played by Aaron Thomas and used during all the session creates a fluid and well-rounded bottom end that you feel throughout your body as you listen. Bob Sparadeo’s tasteful use of the drum kit is enhanced through an” open room” sound sprinkled with bits of percussion.
